Resample Edges is a small tool for resample the vertices on selected edges.

It will put new vertices evenly on the selected edges, also it can replace the original vertices or keep them.

It works for a closed or open edges loop.

It can also Smooth the result vertices along the path.

it can be used for creating quick-and-simple curve boundary for Ngon mesh.

Usage

Switch to Blender Edit mode,

Switch to Edge mode and select the edges. You may switch to Vert mode for easiler viewing the result vertices.

then Right-Click inside the 3D viewport, select "Resample Edges" at the bottom of the pop up Context Menu of blender.

After running the tool, you can change the tool settings at the left-bottom of the screen.

There are some settings :

Vertice Distance : shorter distance will create more vertices.

Shift : rotating shift the vertices along the edges.

Smoothing : smooth the result edges loop.

Keep Original : when it is checked, it will the original vertices. If it is not checked, it will be "resampled" completely.

Padding : add some padding inside each edge, so new vertices will not be too close to the original vertices.

Padding Distance : width of padding.
