Ngon-Loopcut is a simple tool to loop-cut the selected faces, including ngons.

It works on any faces like quad, ngons, triangles.

When it is used on all quads selection, you can enable "Divide quad" option to slice the split-faces into smaller quads.

Usage

Go to blender Edit mode,

Select faces, then right click inside the 3d viewport,

Select Ngon-Loopcut from the bottom of the pop up Context Menu.

When the faces selection is all quad face,

you can enable the option "Divide quad" at the setting menu (left-bottom screen in viewport). It will divide the result into smaller quads.
