Light Pattern (blender addon)

Light Pattern is a very simple addon. 

You can add a light + texture plane, in one click !

Usage

Shift A : Add > Light > Add Light pattern

What it does

- Add a Point Light

- Add a plane, parent to the light  

so if you move or rotate the light, the plane will follow

- Add a material for the plane

The material has a default wave texture, noise texture and empty image texture, connected to a color ramp, input if texture coordinate with mapping.

You can tweak it and add anything you want.

Note :

- Light texture is a technique to blocking the light, to create beautiful pattern on the scene. It only works on Cycles.

- If you want to soften the black shadow, you can use few ways :  

1. move away the light (longer distance)

2. scale up the plane

3. increase the size of point lamp (lamp property).

Remember, in physical light environment, the larger than light source, the more softer the shadow is.
